This policy explains what information GetMy.Kids collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
Who we are
GetMy.Kids is operated by an individual as a non-commercial service for a specific community.
Information we collect
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your children's first names
(if you choose to provide them) - An identifier indicating your association with the community (for example, an invitation code)
When you use the service, we collect:
- Pickup coordination details you enter, which may include children's first names, dates, times, locations, and notes
- A record of which notifications have been sent to which users, for operational purposes
- Basic technical logs (IP address, device type, timestamps) retained for security and debugging
We do not collect: location data, contacts, photos, or any information beyond what you explicitly provide.
How we use your information
Your information is used solely to operate the service: to authenticate you via login links sent to your phone or email, to deliver pickup coordination notifications, and to display pickup information to other parents in your community. We do not use your information for advertising, analytics profiling, or any commercial purpose.
Information about children
Information you enter about children — typically a first name and association with a pickup event — is visible to other parents in your community who use GetMy.Kids. You are responsible for entering only information that you are authorised to share. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the service, please contact us and we will delete it.
How your information is stored
Your information is stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in the United States state of Ohio, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is limited to the service operator for purposes of maintaining the service.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We use the following service providers strictly to operate the app:

Retention
Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. Pickup records are retained for 90 days after the pickup date. Login tokens and transient operational records are retained for a short period (typically hours to days) and then automatically deleted. When you delete your account, your personal information is removed within 30 days; some minimal records (such as SMS opt-in consent proof) may be retained for legal compliance.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or delete your account by contacting info@getmy.kids. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as California or the EU), those rights apply; contact us to exercise them.
Messaging consent
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from GetMy.Kids related to login authentication and pickup coordination. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you can opt back in by replying START. For help, reply HELP. Opting out of SMS will limit the service's ability to notify you about pickup events.
Children's Online Privacy
GetMy.Kids is intended for use by parents and guardians aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts. Information about children that is entered by parents is treated with the same care as adult information but is provided by the adult account holder, not collected from the child directly.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will notify active users by email or in-app notice.
